The Locality

The road heading to the beach and village of Crackington Haven takes you past the Post Office, village hall (The Institute) and a Methodist Chapel. Crackington Haven has a beautiful beach with a large stream running into it. On the other road out of the village is St Genny’s Church; the centre of a thriving parish. The Post Office is one mile from the house and sells a range of provisions; enough to supply your food for the week if need-be. The village has a couple of tea rooms and a pub.

Crackington Haven is located between Boscastle and Bude and on one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in North Cornwall. The village is in a very narrow valley with steep sides leading onto a beach where beautiful sand is exposed at low tide. The beach is popular with surfers and the surrounding coastline is a huge draw for walkers.
